Coach of the Year

Coach of the Year is a prestigious honor given to a coach each cheerleading year, and is awarded at the NLCA Provincial Cheerleading Championships.  The Coach of the Year is one who dedicates a considerable amount of time over and about the allotted practice time, and shows a great deal of enthusiasm towards the team and the sport as a whole.  A coach of the year is more than just a coach - they are a role model for all athletes that they come in contact with.

To nominate an individual you must submit:

(1) One (1) letter of nomination (250 to 500 words) from a person on or involved with the team

(2) A statement from a member of the team

(3) A statement from a teacher sponsor (where possible*)

* Please Note: In the case that the coach is also the acting teacher sponsor, a letter from the principal, another team member, or involved parent will be accepted.
